Giving meaning to life.

Baby Priscillia lived in a faraway hilly settlement in the outskirts of Omue resort. It was not an easy task for her uncle who took care of her because the rain was fast approaching and he had not found the best material with which to roof their building! Even, the friend he paid to get the best roofing sheets for him traveled and never came back. So, he was thinking too much about the future.

Imiano would sit down in front of his car every morning gazing into an empty space while Baby Priscillia would try to make him smile to no avail. As fate would have it, he had sold the engine of his car which he got as a gift from a friend he met on the internet! So, he had nothing to fall back to. One day, Baby Priscillia told him a story which she learnt from her school teacher but she added her own insights to it to make it palatable.

In that story, the rabbit and a horse were in a race to win a basket of carrots! While on it, it started raining and the horse decided that it was time to help his little friend only for to discover that he was the one that needed help the most because it had lost its track! To make matters worse, it was getting late. So, it started crying and the rabbit appeared from nowhere! Together, they crossed the bridge and home they went! On getting home, they were told that is was not actually a race but a test of friendship which they both passed and were rewarded each by the lion king! When the tiger heard the story, he was furious because He believed that the 'mischievous' king had changed the rules of the game and needed to be removed! In a rage, he dared the king to a fight but the lion refused to appear. So, one evening, he was trying to find his way to the lion's place and he met a woman in the forest, heavily pregnant and it was raining! At first he thought of what to do to redeem his name among the animals of the kingdom as a kind being but nothing came into his mind! So, he decided to help the woman find her way out of the thick forest since the child in her womb could be a king but on approaching her, the woman ran away and threw her lamp away! Throughout that week, the tiger was depressed and never fought the lion king again.

When asked where this story took place, she said she didn't know but must be a forest in Africa! As they were still discussing, a girl came by holding guitar and Imiano sought to hear her play but she complained that her grandmother was waiting for her at home but he couldn't ler her go instead, he volunteered to pay her and she agreed! Both of them sat down and got entertained by the best tone that instrument could produce! Imiano asked of her and she agreed to come by the next weekend.

For the next three days, they were still talking about the guitar and the future awaiting it as a means to putting meaning into people's lives but imiano believed that Priscillia could do well as a lawyer which he kept encouraging her to get inclined to and she agreed! Back in school, she picked interest in playing the big drum and Her form teacher was amazed!

While at home, Imiano noticed the sudden transformation of Priscillia but said nothing! While at dinner on a Tuesday, she proposed to tell him a story after the meal but he refused and said he was tired of hearing animal stories. She started crying and he ran outside.

One thing he couldn't stand was her tears. She had used it to gain a lot from him in the past but this time around, it wasn't working as he had lost interest in too much childish stories! While outside, he was gazing into the sky and was wondering what the milky way galaxy looked like! Just then a rabbit ran past a corner of the building and he nearly jumped up but he remembered the story Priscillia once told him and he was relieved because some rabbit are helpful. So, he went inside to find her already sleeping, covered in a blanket and was already purchasing goods in the dreamland through an unknown merchant at an Arab market off the desert!

In the morning, he apologized to her and they both made peace but she went to school without accepting a breakfast from him! That beef lasted for three weeks and Imiano wondered what he had done wrong!

One day, he called her and gave her his car keys telling her she could go anywhere with the so-called car and she jumped at it! On getting into the car, it couldn't start and he went under to try and find the fault. While at it, the girl with the guitar passed with her grandmother and Imiano did not know! Later in the evening, Priscillia told him what happened and started laughing! He was so worked up that he told her to pack her things and prepare to go see her parents the following week! The announce was so sudden and Baby Priscillia knew something was wrong. So, she decided to do something colourful to calm her uncle's nerves! That was how she got a card board paper and drew a whole lot of stuff which she hung on the walls of the house as he went out to farm!

On arriving, Imiano could not enter his house at once because a messenger was waiting for him outside! When he finished attending to the messenger, he zipped his pocket and went on to ascend the steps.

On getting inside, he met a whole lot of people waiting to celebrate his birthday in a grand style! The truth it, he found that same girl playing guitar right inside his parlour in the company of people of which he never knew some and all amidst the glamourous paintings of mushrooms, rabbits, kitchens and museums made by Baby Priscillia!

Of a truth, he never knew that his birthday was right at hand! So, he hugged her and that ended the beef!

Together, they lived happily ever after until Priscillia went off to the university and Imiano faced his gardens.
